Want to Get Started with Exercise? MAKE A PLAN!

make a plan
  • Your plan needs to be written down with attainable steps and goals
  • It should have easy steps to follow.
  • Keep it short – you don’t know how you’re going to progress till you start, so start with 1 week if you have to – or no more than 1 month. That way you won’t have to re-write the plan when you get there. Make the next plan when you’re almost finished the first one.
  • Continue building on the steps as your fitness level improves.
  • Be comfortable with updating the plan as you go – either easier or harder.
  • Increase length or difficulty levels after 1 week at the same level – your body needs time to do well and recover at each level before increasing.
  • Starting with small achievable goals will increase your chances of success and help to keep you motivated.
