What’s our secret?
At Ladies First Fitness you do Strength Training and Cardio Training combined EVERY workout. To perform Cardio Training you need to raise your heart rate to target level and sustain it for at least 20 minutes.
In a traditional gym this has to be achieved by continuous aerobic work on cardio machines such as the Treadmill, Cross-Trainer, Exercise Bike or in an Aerobics/Zumba/Dance Class, etc.
After completing this then, you would still have to perform Strength Training on all the muscles, which would take another 45 mins. That’s a total of 1 hour or more! At Ladies First Fitness our whole workout, accomplishing everything, takes just 30 Minutes!
Strength Training using Hydraulic Resistance

Strength Training is accomplished with Hydraulic Resistance pumping in both directions, which means you work 2 or more muscles on 1 machine, so you get all the muscles worked in less time!
With Weight Stacks in traditional gyms you work in 1 direction only so it takes double the time. Resistance in both directions means that muscles on opposite sides of the body area are worked on the same machine – e.g. biceps and triceps – back and front of the arm. This means more protection for the joints because you’re automatically working symmetrically and evenly … and the part we women like … toning all over happens quicker!
Hydraulic Cylinders also mean no adjustment is necessary to get the correct resistance for your muscles, so no set-up time or selecting the correct weight (assuming you know what that would be) – you just get in the machine and work it!

30 Second Interval
After 30 seconds of resistance training (whichever method of resistance is used) the muscle exhausts and needs to recover. At Ladies First Fitness we utilise this fact to ensure that every ounce of effort you put into strength training builds muscle. No wasted repetitions on a muscle that’s exhausted. Everybody moves on every 30 seconds so there’s no wasted waiting time for machines either. You won’t get bored in 30 seconds and every strength training machine is followed by a recovery station, so, psychologically it’s easier to work hard for 30 seconds knowing that you get to recover for 30 seconds before you work another muscle group.
The machines are arranged in a circuit, so you can start anywhere, you will work all the muscles at least twice, and you can’t skip the machines you don’t like!
Outcome? … You do it all without getting bored – every workout!
Will everyone get results in 1 month?
Yes! If you do three 30-min workouts a week, which is the statutory guidelines for exercise per week, you will see results, in terms of inches, weight* and body fat lost, in 1 month. If you do more, the results will be more in the same timeframe. And, we haven’t even started talking about the other benefits!
