Good News! Re-opening 27th July!

It’s great to be back in business! Initially we will be booking in workouts for 6 members on the circuit at any one time to maintain a minimum of 2m between each member.  We will stagger the arrival times so that we do not get queues for changing or stretching.

Book your diary slot now if you haven’t already!

Initially there will be booking slots for workouts between 9:00-12:00 & 2:30-5:30, Mon, Wed & Fri. This probably means that each member can expect to get 1 workout per week but hours will be adjusted and increased  based on demand. Workout slots can be booked by phone (including voicemail), email, via our website contact page and Facebook. The AM workout start times will be 9:00, 9:05, 9:30, 9:35, 10:00, etc. Last AM workout will be 11:35. PM workout start times will be 14:30, 14:35, 15:00, 15:05, etc. Last PM workout will be 17:00. If you previously booked a workout slot for week commencing 6th July this slot will be preserved for you and moved to w/c 27th July.

Unless requested otherwise, we will book the agreed slot for 4 weeks in a row for the same day/time so that you don’t have to remember to book each week.  This will take us through to the last week in August, when, hopefully things will be back to normal, but, if not, you will be asked to renew your ‘slot’ before it runs out.

We expect the restrictions on days/hours only to last a couple of weeks whilst our membership income is re-established and we can increase our staffing levels to normal hours.

Workouts at Short Notice – more workouts per week!

For members who are able to work out at short notice we have started a list so that we can fill the slots as much as possible, so if you are interested please make sure you get added to this list. If a slot is not fully booked by the end of the previous day or the morning of the day we will contact the members on the “Short Notice” List and anyone who is available and responds first will be able to do an extra workout in addition to the guaranteed slot they already have.

Isolated Workouts

We also have a list for members who have to do an isolated workout, so, if we have any slots that are empty, we can fit a member in for an isolated workout. Make sure you phone or email to let us know if you are in this category.

Physical Distancing Measures and Hygiene

  • Member arrives – use Hand Sanitiser at bottom of stairs.
  • At top of stairs, a coach will ensure member washes hands.
  • Members will maintain 2m distancing whilst changing clothes and shoes.
  • Changing room will have no more than 2 members at any one time.
  • We will split the Shoe Changing area between foyer inside double doors and the landing at the top of stairs outside the double doors, with a maximum of one member per area.
  • Disposable gloves will be provided for use on the circuit.
  • Masks will be available for members who prefer to use them, however, it is not recommended to exercise wearing a mask.
  • Maximum of 6 members on the circuit with at least one machine and 2 boards between each member, ensuring at least 2m distancing.
  • Any Coach on the circuit will be wearing a sanitised Face Shield and gloves and will coach verbally only.  Coaches will not attempt to touch or go within 2m of members.
  • We will indicate 2m distancing in the Stretching area with tape on the floor. We will also be using both ends of the circuit which will allow 6 members to stretch at one time, if necessary.  We will display additional stretch charts for reference.
  • At the end of each 30 min Workout slot we will wipe down all handles on the machines, ready for the next group.
  • There will be no Weigh & Measure appointments available until Physical Distancing measures are relaxed.  Members are welcome to step on the scales and have this recorded in their file, however, using the Omron Body Fat analyser and measuring members will be performed by mutual agreement only, at member’s own risk, until physical distancing measures allow.

Aerobics & Body Weight Exercises

We will continue to do Aerobics Live on Facebook and also posted to YouTube. We will record the Aerobics live at 12:00 noon every day whilst the club is closed. Body Weight Exercises will be included in the Aerobics sessions and also recorded and posted separately on Facebook and YouTube.

New Members

If you are a new customer who is interested in joining we will perform the Fitness Consultation live on Zoom or in the club when it’s quiet without the W&M.  Customer’s Goals will be set based on the customer’s desires.

We will perform a Weigh & Measure and more accurate goal-setting at the start of the First Workout appointment with the member’s specific permission and the Coach wearing Face Shield and gloves.

We will book First Workouts for new members in diary slots as the ONLY appointment during that 30min slot.
