 Sue – 100 Workouts!

Sue hit workouts! Sue loves the fact that she gets peace and quiet from her husband in the afternoons (but you didn’t hear that from me!) “No sweaty men!” is what Sue appreciates most about LFF! D’you think Sue’s trying to make a point?

Spring into Summer Challenge!

88 members participated in our Spring into Summer Challenge. We raised £260 for Alzheimer’s Society (300 Squats in May) and £60 for Cancer Research. We had a great time at the Fighting Cocks for our awards ceremony. “Catherine’s Crazy Challengers” team was the winning team and all received a medal. 

Amanda takes the podium as gold medallist; Karen, our silver medallist – Medals AND muscles! Catherine was our bronze medallist and Chris our platinum medallist. Talk about squatting for victory!  Wot allot of perky peaches in our plot now! xx

Chris – Top Stars, Challenge Platinum Medallist & 400 Workouts!

We just can’t keep Chris down. Top Stars twice in a row! Platinum medalist in Spring into Summer Challenge and 400 workouts certificate! Chris is now officially perfect (toned figure, desired dress size, healthy BMI & body fat)! Chris says, “I have better tone generally, improved energy, new friends and I feel good about myself. LFF is more like a club- lots of support from the coaches and other members…and lots of laughs!” Laughter burns calories too! Mary – Great Results – even with no knee caps!

Mary was a little bit hesitant of this workout because she has damage to her knees and has no knee caps! But Mary has done really well and is doing all the machines apart from 2 – and we’ve just had to modify technique on a few machines. Just had her 1st review and she lost 6.5 ins, 2.8 lbs and 1.4% body fat! Wasn’t trying really hard to lose weight so we could almost say it was effortless! When asked why she liked this w/o, other than the fact that she could DO it – Mary said, “you can put in as much effort as you want, and you get the rewards; nobody is shouting at you and you haven’t got some sweaty bloke in front of you-it’s all women!” Mary likes the community here, all very friendly, nobody stands in judgment, we’re all here for the same reason. It doesn’t matter whether you’re wearing the latest fitness gear (although Mary always looks great in the latest gear!), or whether you’re in gardening shirts with your hair standing on end, you can get in in here, it’s quick to pick up, quick to do – AND you get really good results! So come on down and give us a try!

Linda – A Great Character – Great Results – less stressed!

Linda is a character and joined about a month ago and has just had her 1st review.  She was so excited about it, I was actually a little bit scared that she wouldn’t get the results that she wanted but when we did it – oh my goodness! Linda lost 13.5 ins, 6 lbs and 2.2% body fat – so gets a star for that and she’ll definitely be on the Top Stars! “Was that really hard to achieve, Linda, or did you just turn up?“ Linda replies, “The beauty of this is that you turn up, you know what you’re doing, you know how long it’s going to take and you just smash it.  The support that you get from everybody around you is great.  If you’re doing it wrong, they will let you know, politely obviously, they’ll say- ‘you’ll get more out of it if you do it the right way’-it works brilliantly!” Also, just to let you know that Linda’s been working really hard on walking dogs, etc. “Linda’s baby and pet sitting” is the name of her business. This workout has also helped her manage stress and given her more energy and stamina so she has been able to increase her workload. “It has helped a lot, coming to the gym after work and having some outlet for all the stress so I don’t shout at people at work.” Great job, Linda!

Debbie – 200 Workouts and No. 1 on our Mar/Apr Lost-a-Lot !

What has Debbie gained from joining LFF? In her own words-“a toned body, core strength, fitness & balance”! Not to mention the 1stone, 12 lbs, 20 ins & 8.2% body fat over a couple of years, despite heart and health issues. She has now achieved 200 workouts! Debbie runs a lovely B& B and is always busy so needs to be fighting fit!
