Penny 2500 Workouts!

Penny is such a star and keeps working out through thick and thin. After recently achieving 2500 workouts at LFF, Penny had quite a lot to say about the positive benefits of this workout!

“It has improved and maintained my flexibility, balance, stamina, and overall energy levels. It keeps my weight under control and has given me increased muscle mass and bone strength. Working out regularly gives me a positive mental attitude and a great ‘buzz’ after each workout!”

“I really appreciate the intimate, welcoming, and friendly atmosphere here at LFF. It’s a varied workout for the whole body – and mind! There’s always attentive and encouraging staff. The coaches keep a keen eye on the ‘veterans’ as well as the new members – there is always room for improvement! I joined LFF (or Curves as it was then) in 2007 a few weeks after it opened, and I have just passed the 2500 workouts milestone, so I suppose you could say it had become something of a habit!! Over the last 15 years, apart from short holiday breaks, I have only taken 2 longer breaks – and one of those was enforced due to the Covid lockdown.”

“The other was to recover from bowel surgery followed by chemotherapy in 2017. I reached another milestone at the same time as my 2500 workouts one – I received news that my 5-year cancer check-ups were clear! I’m sure Fran will forgive me for saying that this milestone means a little more to me! (Definitely forgiven, Penny) Regular workouts prior to my diagnosis certainly helped me cope with the surgery and treatment, and I was back on the circuit as good as new after 5 months! Wow for Penny. Celebrations all around!”

Bridgett 100 Workouts

Bridget has achieved 100 workouts! Wow! “I’ve finally found a gym where I really enjoy my sessions rather than it being a chore to motivate myself to attend! I feel very good after exercising, I feel toned with much better muscle strength,” says Bridget. “Exercise makes you feel happier and more positive.” When asked why she liked LFF, Bridget said, “the type of equipment and exercises between each piece of equipment is very different from other gyms. The staff are very friendly and happy to help and encourage.” Well done Bridget! 👏👍

Susan Testimonial

Susan met LFF at the Michaelmas Fayre and decided to join when we asked her if she’d like to. At her 1st review, after just 4 weeks of working out, she lost 7.25 inches around the whole body. Also, 1lb in weight and some body fat. “I’m so glad I joined”, says Susan, “I’m on the right track. The people are lovely, it’s given me my ‘mojo’ back and my leg muscles are great. It’s helped me recover from long covid and improved my respiratory function, which is fantastic! The people here who have also joined are so supportive…so come along!”

Leanne Lost 6.5 inches!

Celebrating her 1st review after her 1st month at LFF, Leanne is doing really well – lost 6.5 ins, 2lbs, and 0.4% body fat. Considering Leanne wasn’t trying really hard to lose weight, she’s really pleased – “I was just coming in 2-3 times per week!”

“The workout is really easy to fit in, quite quick cos it’s only 30 mins – it’s not a big commitment throughout the day,” says Leanne. Leanne does her workout on her way home from work so it’s not too exhausting – get it done then go home. Leanne likes the atmosphere – it’s all ladies, nothing intimidating about it – no men grunting and groaning – friendly faces and lovely coaches! “I would definitely recommend it to my friends,” says Leanne. Way to go! Xx
