Been there, done that, failed?
When you think of doing exercise with any sort of program involved, is your first reaction, “Been there, done it, didn’t work, couldn’t keep it up”?!
I get bored
Women seem to get bored in traditional gyms, so, when they try to keep the regime up, they just can’t. When you’re bored with something it’s very hard to keep doing it. When you joined the gym, you were all enthusiastic and looking forward to the results, so getting started wasn’t so difficult. As time wears on and there is nothing to measure whether you are getting any results, it gets harder and harder to stay motivated. Sometimes the habit of going to the gym might fall off gradually – 3 a week drops to twice a week then once then occasional and finally none at all.
I’m too Tired and don’t have the time
In addition to that, a workout in a traditional gym, if you’re doing everything properly, takes about and hour and a half, at least, and that’s hard to fit in for women who have to go to work then come home and cook for the family. They can’t fit it in before dinner and it’s unlikely they’ll have the energy, or the inclination, to do it after dinner!
With the Ladies First Fitness 30-minute workout, however, you are very likely to succeed and keep going. First of all, it’s much harder to get bored! You can get the workout done in 30 minutes AND you only stay on each piece of equipment for 30 secs. It’s hard to get bored in 30 secs if you’re working hard. In traditional gyms you’ll be on cardio equipment for at least 30 minutes, then on each piece of weight stack equipment for 3 sets of 20-30 reps, which will usually take 4-5 mins. That’s plenty of time to get bored.
I find it difficult to keep track and on target
At Ladies First Fitness you will KNOW what results you’re getting….because we measure them. We will help you set goals at the beginning, then each month, we review those goals and you will have a report of your progression towards that goal. When you see what’s happening to your body that gives you that feeling of success!
We also set and measure goals on each piece of equipment so you get that sense of hard work and achievement on each workout.
Traditional gyms leave you to your own devices, unless you pay for a personal trainer, which is usually expensive and often too intensive. So when you’re working out on your own, it’s harder to stay motivated and also makes you feel a bit lonely and isolated, so it’s easier for the habit to wear off.

At Ladies First Fitness we always have a coach on the circuit and our members are really friendly, so it’s a happy atmosphere and there’s someone there to encourage you, push you harder and congratulate you on your achievements. The coach will be looking after all the members on the circuit, though, so it’s not too intense or one-on-one all the time.
We also monitor our members visit pattern, so if your regular 3-a-week workout pattern, falls off, we will call you to encourage you to get back into it. We have various techniques for that, and we also run competitions from time to time to vary the goals and provide alternative activities during our workouts.
